Learning
Lullaby House is dedicated to providing quality programs.  Every child is unique.  Your child may have special skills or special needs.  At Lullaby House we follow your child's lead.  We are committed to meeting the highest standards in implementing developmentally and educationally appropriate practices.
Our children learn through investigation, play, experimentation and direct teaching.  Our students "learn by doing" through hands-on activities.  When children are engaged and having fun, they are learning.  Play is truly the work of children.  Through play, children learn problem-solving, interpersonal skills, communication and other skills integral to success in school and life.
Our infant and young toddler curriculum is designed to develop skills in the major developmental areas.  Our babies will learn by using all the "tools" they have at their disposal.  Babies play by engaging all of their senses.  Their eyes, ears, nose, hands and mouths are their tools.  Lullaby teachers start teaching sign language to our youngest students.  Sign Language helps develop early language and communication skills while helping to alleviate communication frustration before verbal skills emerge.
Our older toddler and early learners have a specially designed curriculum to help them grasp early academic skills and concepts.  This program is designed to engage the children in active language development, basic literacy, math and science.  Our students continue to learn new signs, although the students are encouraged and expected to verbalize the words as well.  Our core curriculum teaches letter sounds and recognition, number counting and early math skills, music and movement, art and much more.
